Loretta Gaskin Scholarship Fund.

"Study to Show Thyself Approved"

PURPOSE.

Sister Loretta Gaskin was such an encouraging woman of God, she touched the lives of many, both in church and out of church. She was graceful, powerful, intelligent and always helpful. She show fairness to everyone. She was a positive role model to the men and women of Community Baptist Church and she dedicated alot of time to the betterment of the church. She was a Sunday School Teacher, trustee, deaconess, president of the missionary and she wore many other hats while helping the cause. Although she was not an ordained minister, she saved souls. She encouraged people to be about God's business, and one could not go wrong being about God"s business.

Sister Loretta Gaskin displayed all nine fruits of the spirit: Love, Joy, Peace, Forbearance, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfullness, Gentleness and Self control.

Black History Program..

Sister to Sister Event.

"Am I My Sister's Keeper"

The Sister to Sister program was formed by sister Ursula Johnson. Sister Ursula the director for this progam was looking for ways to bring together the women in the church and She started a forum named Sister to Sister. With her dedication, hard work, focus and her unwavering trust in the lord the forum became so successful that it takes place three times a year. During each forum a guest speaker is invited to fellowship and to share words of encouragement with the women.

Friends And Family Day.

Date: July 10th, 2016. 3:00PM.(Sun)

Friends and Family day is a joyous occasion where our church family get together in the name of the lord and have a wonderful time praying God and fellowship with one another. On this special day, current members, former members, future members , visitors and their family members celebrate this special day with us and enjoy various food and beverages. To conclude this occasion, the guess pastor shares with us a few words of encouragement and good news of our lord Jesue the Christ.

Vacation Bible School.

The Vacation Bible School is in section from July 8th through July 12th, 2019. It starts from 8:00am and ends at 1:00pm. This yearly program is directed by Deaconess in Training Mary Johnson. The program is geared mainly towards our young children but we also have adult classes.

The main purpose for this summer classes is for the children to learn more about God, to spend time in the church instead of hanging around on the street corners. We provide breakfast, snacks and lunches. We have a program called Mega Sports Camp, during this program, both children and adults gets the opportunity to go out in the park and play sports such as basketball, baseball, soccer, football, kickball, softball and more. We have mascot and the children get to be chair leaders dancing to christian songs.
