The Women's Ministry Kickoff.

John: 3:16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The Community Baptist Church Of Gordon Heights Women's Ministry Kickoff was a success, our first meeting took place on August 6th, 2016. Our discussion of the day was on Lot's Wife, (genesis: 19th, Luke: 17th) Even though Lot's wife name was not mention in the bible she still play a significant role. During the Women's Ministry discussion, there were questions that was asked, such as Why did lot's wife looked back to Sodom? Why did lot daughters plots to sleep with their father? Why did lot decided to protect his visitors and gave his daughters to the vicious crowd? and why did lot decided to bargain with the angels instead of going to the mountain as the angels had suggested? All answers to these questions were amazing.

The questions took us deep inside ourselves, it allowed us to walk in her shoes for a minute and think of what we would do if we were in her position. Her faith may not be strong enough, she may be attached to all her wealth in Sodom, she may not belief that Sodom will be destroy, She may be curious, her heart is still in Sodom? She is arrogant. During this discussion, some of us went down memory lane and remembered where God has brought us from and how we obeyed the voice of the Lord. I am looking forward to see you at our September 2016 Women"s Ministry meeting.
